Admitad in Mexico – a success story from the get-go

Excellent news! Our Mexico team has obtained an exclusive collaboration with internationally-renowned sportswear firm, adidas.

The collab will see Admitad managing Adidas’s fintech loyalty program for the entire LATAM market, offering services such as cashback and point-collection schemes to adidas’s customers there.

This is especially important to us, not only because adidas is one of the most recognisable brands in the world, but also because the Mexico market is going from strength to strength.

A report by Asociación Mexicana de Venta Online (AMVO) showed that in 2021, Mexico’s e-commerce industry reached a value of US$22.18 billion, registering a 27% growth compared to 2020. Statista projects that Mexico’s e-commerce revenue will reach US$42 in 2023 (increasing by a further 66.6% by 2027). This makes Mexico one of the most promising e-commerce markets, placing it in the global top five fastest-growing countries for e-commerce retail.

Mexico has experienced the most substantial shift to online of all Latin American markets, especially in light of the pandemic, which saw online grocery purchases grow by over 100%. The number of Mexican internet users is growing, with 76% percent of the population counted as users in 2021 (44% of whom shop online), an increase of 26% since 2017. Yearly online spends also increased, from an average of US$249 in 2017 to US$727 in 2022.

Admitad in Mexico – a success story from the get-go

Since 2019, Admitad has doubled the size of its partner portfolio in Latin America and increased the number of advertisers it works with in the region by 63%. Total sales generated by Admitad for its clients almost tripled between 2019 and 2021. Top-tier brands such as Adobe, Adorama, Paramount+GAPAliExpressSSENSEPatPat and many others enjoy long-term, profitable partnerships with Admitad in the LATAM market.

After Brazil, Mexico is our second major inroad into the LATAM market. Our Mexico team is headed up by Julio Martinez, Country Manager Mexico. Soon after joining the company last year, Julio made his ambitions clear: “I would like to position the company among the best nationwide, collecting the largest number of brands to work with us. I am confident that we can continue our success and growth in this very promising market.

This new collaboration with adidas represents an important step towards this goal. It follows Admitad’s recent successes in implementing customer loyalty services for nationwide department store and top Mexican e-commerce player, Coppel. These services not only resulted in targeted campaigns, but also in the launching of a referral program that includes around 3000 content creators.

Hopefully, this is the first step in a long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation with adidas. There are also many other big projects in the LATAM pipeline – so stay tuned for more news and updates coming your way soon!
