In 2021, during the sale, the number of orders increased by 41% compared to the week before the start of the warm-up. The total amount of purchases increased by 78%.
Despite the big discounts, the average check during the sale also soared: users spent on average 26% more than the week before the warm-up.
All these factors helped our Publishers to boost their earnings. Their revenue during the sale in 2021 increased by 58%.
What products will be popular?
According to Admitad Affiliate analytics, during the Birthday sale in 2021, the largest number of orders were made in the following categories: mobile phones, jewellery, goods for home and garden.
The most popular purchase on AliExpress during the sales days was the POCO F3 5G smartphone. A new gadget from the Xiaomi brand just appeared on sale and became a real hit – more than 2 thousand users bought it on AliExpress’s birthday.
Among other popular products were cleaning erasers for shoe care (they were purchased 959 times), portable chargers and cables, and screwdriver magnetic rings.
Last year, users spent the most money purchasing goods for life and health protection. Thus, purchases with the highest average order value mostly included medical masks, furniture protectors and video surveillance systems.
According to the statistics, the most expensive orders also included goods from the following categories:
- Household appliances
- Goods for weddings and holidays
- Computers and office equipment
